Amiad is the CEO of Herut Center, and the publisher of the Hebrew-language intellectual journal, Hashiloach. He served for several years as the chief executive of his native settlement of Eli and as the head of the Business and Industry Innovation departments of the Mateh Binyamin Development Company. He is also a partner in several business initiatives in the fields of security and technology.
Rabbi Yehoshua Pfeffer
Executive Director, Iyun Institute
Rabbi Pfeffer has served as a Rabbinical judge, community rabbi, moderator of an international Jewish-law website, and chief editor of the Ner LeElef program. He has written extensively on Jewish law and thought, and lectures widely in Israel and abroad. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees (summa cum laude) in Law from Hebrew University, clerked at the Supreme Court of Israel, and lectures at Hebrew University. He lives in Ramot with his wife and eight children.
Aylana Meisel-Diament
Executive Director, Israel Law & Liberty Forum
Aylana Meisel is the founding chair and now executive director of the Israel Law & Liberty Forum. She has held a variety of senior positions at the Herut Center, developing the mission, strategy, and projects for both the Tikvah Fund and the Herut Center. Aylana obtained her JD from Georgetown University and her BA in Jewish Studies from Queens College. She is the host of the JNS podcast “Basic Law,” co-founder of the Jewish Coalition for Religious Liberty, and serves on the advisory board of the Tikvah Fund Legal Fellowship.
Dr. Ronen Shoval
Dean, Herut Center
Executive Director, Argaman Institute
Ronen is the founder and dean of the Argaman Institute. He has an MA in Jewish Thought from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a PhD from the Sorbonne. He founded and chaired the Im Tirtzu movement, helped lead other major Jewish and Zionist organizations, and founded a successful start-up.
Dr. Sagi Barmak
Editor-in-Chief, HaShiloach
Dr. Sagi Barmak is the Editor-in-Chief of Hashiloach and Director of the Adam Smith Program at the Argaman Institute. He is also a founder of the Exodus Program for Conservative Political Thought. Dr. Barmak holds a PhD in American History from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. A reserve officer in a forward-operating medical company, he previously worked as a civics and history teacher.
Dalya Mayer
Director of Finance
Dalya holds a BA in Finance and Economics from York University and has built her career in Finance and Operations Management within the non-profit sector, where she has focused on improving financial management, planning, budgeting, and operational efficiency.
Yaakov Twito
Director of Digital Strategy
Yaakov Twito is the Director of Digital Strategy at the Herut Center for Israeli Liberty. He is responsible for the center’s digital outputs, managing technological tools, building and operating websites, and overseeing social media activities. Additionally, he is in charge of IT and is part of the center’s event production team. Yaakov holds a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and, prior to joining the Herut Center, worked for about seven years in the education system.
Eden Bauman
Director of External Relations
Eden is the External Relations Manager for the Executive Director’s Office. She previously served as an event producer at the Israeli Knesset.
Benaya Cherlow
Director of Strategic Affairs
Benaya Cherlow is the Director of Strategic Affairs at the Herut Center. He is responsible for the Center’s U.S. operations, including strategic partnerships, relationship building, and fundraising initiatives.
Benaya is a Captain in the Israel Defense Forces reserves and a graduate of the Exodus Program and the Adam Smith. He holds a Bachelor’s degree with honors in Decision Making and Strategy from Reichman University and is a graduate of the Veterans in National Security Program at Syracuse University.
Yael Gluzberg
Studio Manager
Yael is a multidisciplinary designer with nearly 30 years of experience in the industry. She holds a degree as a Printing Engineer and a programming certificate.
Isaac Attia
Fundraising Operations
Isaac leads the systems and operational strategy that drives Herut’s major gifts fundraising. Previously, he directed OU-JLIC programs at Brandeis University and Binghamton University, supporting Jewish student life and building community on campus. He studied psychology and business at Yeshiva University. Originally from San Diego, Isaac made aliyah and now lives in Modiin with his wife, Tal, and three children.
Yotam Farzan
Videographer and Audio-Video Editor
Yotam Farzan is a photographer, videographer, and sound editor who oversees the stage’s technical operations, including video and audio systems, at the Center’s events. He is a graduate of Prog College’s Screenwriting and Cinema program and has 5 years of professional experience as a Motion Graphics Designer.
